Format and Agenda

Our day will kick off with registration beginning at 11.00. Each of our panels will last approximately 30 to 40 minutes, with 10 minutes allocated for Q&A. The first panel will start at 11.30.

Andrew Haldane

Andrew Haldane is the Chief Executive of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). He was formerly Chief Economist at the Bank of England and a member of the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee. Andrew is Founder and President of the charity Pro Bono Economics, Vice-Chair of the charity National Numeracy and Chair of the National Numeracy Leadership Council. Andrew chairs the Government’s Levelling Up Advisory Council and is a member of the Chancellor’s Council of Economic Advisors. He was the Permanent Secretary for Levelling Up at the Cabinet Office from September 2021 to March 2022. Among other positions, he is Honorary Professor at the Universities of Nottingham, Manchester and Exeter, Visiting Professor at King’s College, London and a Fellow of the Royal Society and the Academy of Social Sciences.

Andrew Patrick White is the Founder & CEO of FundApps, a RegTech which provides regulatory monitoring & reporting services to investment managers. Before FundApps, Andrew created the compliance monitoring software MIG21 at Aquin Components GmbH. He went on to become the Managing Director & Head of Business Development for Aquin International before exiting with a trade sale to State Street in 2008. Andrew holds a degree in Computer Science, Linguistics & German from Trinity College Dublin.

FundApps was founded in 2010 and currently monitors over 20 Trillion USD of assets every day, servicing 5 of the world's 10 largest hedge funds and 4 of North America’s 10 largest pension funds.

Christian Nentwich 

Christian Nentwich is the Founder of and Board Member at Duco, an Enterprise SaaS platform for data automation. A lifelong technologist with a particular interest in data, AI and complex, large enterprise solutions, he has founded, led and exited companies advancing the state of the art and creating significant shareholder value. Christian is an active fund LP and investor in technology firms. He holds a BSc and PhD in Computer Science from University College, London.

Corinna Mitchell is Symphony’s general counsel. She leads the company’s legal work and operations and is a member of Symphony’s global executive team. She spent 20 years in private legal practice and most recently as General Counsel at financial services investment advisory firm Foxford Advisors LLP. Corinna is based in London.

Robert Haggerty is the Global Head of Major Shareholding at abrdn (formerly known as Aberdeen Asset Management). He joined the company directly from university and has held several roles in Compliance, Internal Audit, and Operations during his time with the firm. He’s been a huge supporter of the FundApps community since 2015. 

David Thomas

David Thomas

David Thomas is the Global Head of Commercial Data Governance at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). He also serves as the Chief Data Officer (CDO) for the Data & Analytics Division within the company. He has worked in the Financial Services industry for 26 years, predominantly in investment banking before moving to the LSEG Group.  He has spent the last 20 years focusing on Data Management and is a seasoned Chief Data Officer with experience designing and executing enterprise level Data Strategy across diverse product groups in Financial Services. He has helped develop innovative architectural and infrastructure solutions and has experience leading large Data teams and designing operating models.

Frederik Richter

Frederik Richter

Frederik Richter has been the Chief Business Officer of the open risk data provider OpenSanctions since September 2023. Prior to that, he worked as a financial and investigative journalist for 20 years, based in the Middle East, in South East Asia as well as in Germany. His main interest as a journalist was the space where power and money overlap while he also uncovered numerous cases of fraud, money laundering and bribery with his reporting.

Claire Farley

Claire Farley, Chief Product Officer and General Counsel at aosphere, is proud to be part of the amazing team at the company, where the mission is to create and maintain cost-effective, premium-quality online legal information for clients.

Her role involves designing legal information solutions that cater to a broad spectrum of fantastic clients. She loves the challenges the role brings, the people she works with, and the clients and friends made along the journey. Currently, she is focusing on the new data privacy offering, having previously designed solutions for shareholding disclosure, marketing restrictions, and e-signatures. Claire particularly enjoys traveling to meet overseas clients and speaking at industry conferences

Philip Niel

Philip Niel

Philip joined Egerton in 2013. He is the firm’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, a member of the Management Committee and a partner. Prior to joining Egerton, Philip was general counsel and head of compliance at Fauchier Partners, a London-based hedge fund manager (2010-2013). He previously held the same role at FIM Advisers (2006-2010), before which he worked at Citi Private Bank and Barclays Wealth as legal counsel. Philip started his career at Linklaters, where he trained and qualified as a lawyer. Philip graduated from the University of Nottingham in 1997 with a B.A. (Hons) in History and subsequently obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Law (Commendation) and Legal Practice Course (Distinction) from the College of Law.
